I lost $70k worth of roofing deals in a month because I drives Cybertruck. I love this truck, what do I do?

Owning a Tesla Cybertruck should be a badge of innovation and forward-thinking. But for Yoni Menaker, the owner of Blue Angel Roofing in Atlanta, his futuristic truck is turning into a business nightmare.

Yoni claims he has lost $70,000 worth of roofing deals in just one month, all because he drives a Cybertruck.

Customers Are Canceling Over His Cybertruck

The shocking revelation came when Yoni posted in the Cybertruck Owners Only Facebook group, looking for advice.

“I have a dilemma. I have started to lose customers because I drive a Cybertruck. I have also received some bad reviews in the past, and I am not sure what to do. I love this truck, and it’s the best truck I have ever had. But last month, we lost around $70k in deals, and the customers said that it was because we drove a Cybertruck. Any suggestions? I’m in Atlanta.”

A screenshot he shared revealed a negative review on his company’s page, where a customer warned others:

“I’m just going to say, if a roofing company has a Cybertruck, maybe reconsider using them as your roofer.”

To make matters worse, the review included a picture of Yoni’s Cybertruck, complete with his Blue Angel Roofing logo plastered on the side.

Why the Backlash?

Just a year ago, the Cybertruck was seen as a marketing goldmine. Businesses rushed to buy them, eager to slap their logos on what was then a bold, eye-catching vehicle.

Now? The Cybertruck has become one of the most divisive vehicles on the road.

The backlash is so intense that some business owners who once proudly showcased their Cybertrucks are now reconsidering. Even Zack from the JerryRigEverything YouTube channel, who initially bought the truck as an advertising tool, has announced he is selling all his Tesla products before the year ends.

A Growing Pattern of Cybertruck Hostility

Yoni is not alone in facing real-world consequences for driving a Cybertruck. In just the past few days, Cybertruck owners have shared shocking stories of harassment, aggression, and even violence:

  • One Cybertruck owner was punched in the face—simply for driving his truck. In response, he now leaves $1 bills on Cybertrucks he sees to “spread the love.”
  • Another owner was confronted by a man in a lifted Ford F-350, fists clenched, ready to fight.
  • The owner of a golden Cybertruck says his family faces constant hostility. The harassment has gotten so bad that his wife refuses to drive the truck at all.

What’s Next for Cybertruck Owners?

For some, the Cybertruck is still a statement of progress and innovation. But for others—especially business owners—it’s starting to feel like a liability.

Yoni is now faced with a tough decision:

  • Keep his Cybertruck and risk losing more customers?
  • Sell it and protect his business?

This dilemma highlights a deeper issue—the growing polarization around Tesla, Elon Musk, and the Cybertruck itself.

What do you think? Would you risk your business over a truck you love, or would you make the switch? Let us know in the comments.

Guess what? If someone doesn’t like you because you bought a Cybertruck then they probably aren’t a customer in the first place! You need to report every false and off topic review from your Google business page. It will be gone in less than 48 hours if this person has not done business with you or if the review is off topic. Sadly I think you posted this complain for attention and not because you “lost $70K”. You posted the same comment to the Cybertruck groups and we told you what to do and you didn’t listen. You went to the press for social interaction. If you’re losing business it is not because of a few fake reviews – it’s because your reviews are Mid to begin with….
